I nearly skipped this one, given the reviews, but I downloaded it and really love the Terrapin; it's a little slow, perhaps, but the jamming is quite sharp, and offers a richer development of the song's motifs, especially the later, Terrapin-proper, ones, than most versions- even most of the Dead's. At 45+ minutes, it's probably the longest you'll ever hear, just for good measure.
The rest of the show's not too shabby either.
But get the Terrapin for sure.

I agree that these weren't the best played P&F shows but they were sure fun!
Dixie chicken dark star's will never be seen again. I was on the rail and it was still a lil transcendent. Any Dark star will do in my book.

This lineup just doesn't pan out. The songs were long but the jams were boring...just unexciting music..and generally the jams went nowhere, they would just end. It seemed like the Little Feat guys just didn't know where to go with the jams or what they needed to do. It was stiff, dull music and a boring set of shows to be at. I went to see Barry Sless play at the after show at Quixote's- that was good music!!

It's hard to believe someone thought this lineup was the stongest of all Phil & Friends. I am a vet of over 300 Dead shows while Jerry was alive and at least 35 Phil shows catching each different lineup. I do not live in the past and I love what Phil generally does. I thought that the Phil/Little Feat lineup was a worthy experiment with a horrible outcome. Long songs that are long for the sake of length are the worst and that summed up this lineup. This show went nowhere, don't waste your CD or your time
